In 2013, Big Grove Brewery opened its doors in Solon, Iowa, built on a foundation of quality beer, exceptional food, and genuine Iowa hospitality. Over the past decade, we've experienced incredible success, driven by our commitment to crafting authentic beer and food. Along the way, we’ve made it our mission to give back, partnering with local organizations to uplift the communities that have been by our side.
Giving back to our local community is central to our mission at Big Grove Brewery. We strive to be intentional with our “good giving” and have committed the majority of our charitable efforts to focus on three core categories.
Trees, Trails, & Water
The work to enhance our recreational green spaces, benefiting both our health and well-being and reviving our environment.
Equity & Equality
Working towards a diverse and equitable community while being a good human to other humans.
Our Backyard
Supporting local organizations that work to make the communities we are in a better place to live, thrive, and have opportunity.

Each year Big Grove For Good partners with local nonprofits to help grow and strengthen our communities. Subscribe to our email newsletter to be updated when the grant cycle reopens. We continue to accept in-kind donations and sponsorship requests throughout the year.
Good beer for a good cause
Big Grove believes in giving back to the communities that support us by creating good beer for good causes. We work with our partners to bring people together to support them and the work they do for our communities.
2024 Grant Recipients
Johnson County
Antelope Lending Library is an independent, non-profit bookmobile library working to overcome barriers and provide equal access to information and ideas in our community.

Wright House is a non-profit organization that inspires and engages youth in collaborative partnerships with the fashion design community.
Linn County
The Eastern Iowa ARTS Academy makes the arts accessible to all K-12 students through programming in the Cedar Rapids Community Schools, College Community Schools, and on campus at the Eastern Iowa ARTS Academy's Music and Arts Studios.

YPN offers parenting classes for first-time parents, giving them the tools they need to be the parents they want to be.
Polk County
Mary’s Helping Hands provides much needed clothing and accessories to struggling mothers, families and their babies.
Polk County
SafeNetRx operates the nation's largest drug donation repository where unused medicine in our health systems and homes is collected, inspected by pharmacists, and distributed to patients struggling with medication insecurity.

Customers who believe they have been subjected to any kind of discrimination from an employee or fellow customer that conflicts with Big Grove Brewery’s diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism policies and initiatives can and should report incidents to the We Respect Program provided by the Skywalk Group at 319-984-8400. This program is designed as a way to report concerns, questions, complaints, suggestions, and/or comments to an objective third-party.
