Caleb and Jordan Schneider are Big Grove fans. They first met in Iowa City before Caleb joined the US Navy Submarine force in 2012. That took them on a 9-year journey where they lived in Connecticut and Washington, before returning to Iowa last year.
Upon coming home to Iowa City, they found our Iowa City Taproom as a great place for them and their two kids to visit, immediately feeling our warmth and welcome. Plus, Easy Eddy is the couple's fan favorite.
This is why Caleb and Jordan asked Big Grove to get involved with the USS Iowa project. The couple are working to raise awareness in support of the US Navy and its christening and commissioning of a new submarine, the USS Iowa SSN-797.
A portion of beer sales through July 10, 2022 will be donated to hosting the USS Iowa crew members in Iowa in addition to supporting honor flights for US Navy veterans in collaboration with Eastern Iowa Honor Flight, Sullivan Hartogh Davis Cedar Valley Honor Flights, and Midwest Honor Flight.
“Since pitching the idea to Big Grove, multiple crew members of the USS Iowa and other submarine veterans have visited the Solon and Iowa City taprooms.” Caleb went on to mention “the genuine hospitality of the Big Grove family has been felt, and our message carried from coast to coast.”
Grab up a couple packs of your favorite Big Grove brew anywhere in the state now through July 10 and you'll be a part of something special for Iowa's sailors and US Navy Veterans. Thanks for supporting these great men and women right along with us!
