BYOB Guidelines and FAQs
What is BYOB at Big Grove Omaha?
BYOB stands for “Bring Your Own Beverage” — and yes, we mean it! While we work hard to refill our taps, we’re welcoming guests to bring their own beer, wine, or canned cocktails to enjoy on-site.
What kind of beverages can I bring?
We’d love it if you brought your favorite Big Grove beers (use our Beer Finder to grab some nearby!). But feel free to bring any beer or wine you enjoy.
Please note: No full bottles of hard liquor or spirits are allowed, in accordance with our policy. Canned cocktails made with spirits are okay.
How long will BYOB be allowed?
Our BYOB policy is temporary and expected to run through October — but that could change based on how fast we catch up on brewing. We’ll keep everyone posted via our website and socials!
Can I drink outside on the patio?
Yes! You’re welcome to enjoy your beverages both indoors and on the patio, as long as you're following our BYOB guidelines.
Will you still have your own beer on tap?
Yes! We plan to have 4–6 fresh, on-site brewed beers on tap each weekend (while supplies last). We are working around the clock to get even more of our option available for you!
Will there be other beverage options if I don’t BYOB?
At the end of October 2025, we’re adding a mobile bar on weekends to help keep the party going. You’ll be able to purchase drinks directly on-site.
Is there a corking fee?
Nope — there’s no corkage or BYOB fee during this temporary program. Just bring your favorite beer, wine, or canned cocktail, follow the guidelines, and enjoy responsibly.
Are there any restrictions or rules I should know about?
Yes, a few important ones:
- Beer, wine only, and canned cocktails only – no full bottles of spirits alone.
- Must be 21+ to bring or consume alcohol. Servers will be checking all IDs before you are able to open any product at our taproom.
- Please drink responsibly and respect our staff and fellow guests.
- In accordance with Nebraska law, you can not leave the premises with any open containers.
- We will not be resealing wine. Unfinished drinks will have to be finished or disposed of before exiting the taproom.
- Big Grove - Omaha maintains the right to "cut off" guests from continuing to consume alcoholic beverages on-site, even if they are their own.
Can I bring my own cooler?
No, due to space and safety considerations we request no coolers on site. We will do our best to provide options for chilling any beverages brought in.
Can I bring drinks for a group?
You're welcome to bring enough for your group, but please keep it reasonable. Large quantities may be restricted at staff discretion to maintain a safe and welcoming space for everyone.
Do you sell food or allow outside food?
We do offer food on-site! While outside beverages are temporarily welcome, we ask that you enjoy the food offerings available at Big Grove to support our kitchen team. Outside food is not allowed.
Why are you doing BYOB?
We’ve been blown away by the incredible support from our Omaha community — thank you! You’ve been enjoying our beer faster than we can brew it, and while we work hard to catch up on production and work through limitations with our full liquor license, our temporary BYOB policy helps us keep the good vibes flowing without skipping a beat.
